Cattery
Here at Oak Ride Farm, our cattery has a total of 49 rooms. 47 of the rooms can accommodate 1-2 cats each and we have 2 family rooms for up to 4 cats each.
Most of our rooms have a penthouse enclosed sleeping area however we do have a geriatric room with ground level sleeping area if needed. Each room is private and only cats from the same household will be allowed to share. The penthouse sleeping areas are all accessible by ladder and are all internally heated. Each room has a view to the outside and all have a form of enrichment e.g. a chair, log or scratching post.
Our primary concern is the welfare of your pets; this means we have a simple yet affective routine which includes a thorough room inspection/clean/tidy/disinfect daily. We make sure there is always plenty of fresh water available and structure your pet’s day with plenty of enrichment whilst being mindful of each individual pet’s needs.
We provide everything your pet would need for their stay here including beds, bedding, bowls, toys and food. However, we are more than happy for you to bring as much or as little as you need to make your pets stay more comfortable. We have a selection of both wet and dry food.
You are welcome to visit the cattery for a viewing prior to booking, this is by appointment only between 1.30pm – 3pm.
The first time you bring your cat to us for boarding, you will be asked to fill out a registration form providing a full profile of your pet and your contact details. All cats will need to be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to boarding with us and have their certificates with them each time they stay. They will also need to be up to date with all flea and worming treatments.
No cat will be admitted without up-to-date vaccination against feline panleucopaenia (enteritis), feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici virus (flu).

This is the first Cattery we've ever used and we are so happy we've found Oak Ride! Communication was excellent from the get-go with my questions answered very speedily. We hadn't booked our kitten (Gumption) in for an extra day but they were more than happy to accommodate us. Also is the best price I have found locally. I wish I caught the name of the lovely lady at the desk. She was bubbly, helpful and very friendly.

The cattery at Oak Ride is brilliant! The team are so lovely, they clearly love the animals and care for them amazingly. The first time we took our cat she was quite nervous but the team gave her so much attention that she settled quickly and had a great stay. The team were also great at sending through photos and email updates to us which put our mind at rest. Our cat has now completed two stays at Oak Ride with a third booked for the summer and every time she has come back happy and healthy. Thank you Oak Ride!

My cat has stayed at Oak Ride Cattery a few times and I wouldn’t hesitate to send her there again! She had only been to one cattery before and she wasn’t herself when we got her home but after staying here she’s been as happy as she had ever been, we could really tell she’d be taken care of and given lots of love and attention. You can tell the people who work here put their everything into making sure your cats have an enjoyable stay! I also really appreciated that they sent me a photo and an update half way through our trips!

My cat Halloumi has stayed at Oak Ride quite a few times now and he always comes home happy and healthy. Their facilities are clean, well cared for and spacious. Their staff are friendly and attentive to the animals, making sure play time happens every day. I cannot commend the cattery enough. I used Oak Ride to care for my cat, Flo, whilst home renovations were carried out. She was not just cared for but loved by the team for 4 months. Paula especially took Flo under her wing. I received updates & photos & when she returned home was happy & well. Flo, had not faired particularly well in a cattery previously, so I attribute this success story to the care she received. Following that positive experience Flo stayed happily on several occasions, I think she enjoyed the attention she received more that from me!! 😁 I would have no hesitation recommending anyone. It’s in a lovely location & the staff all welcoming.

Our cat Willow stayed here for a week. She seemed very happy here and we could tell she was well looked after during her stay. She is a fluffy cat and needs regular grooming and her coat was well maintained. Such friendly staff and you can tell they all love the cats and their jobs very much. Thank you! Will definitely be using this cattery again in the future :)

Just collected my 2 kittens from Oak Ride Cattery. They seemed to be really happy and content with their stay. They were interacted with and played with regularly, a particularly huge thank you to Hannah who took them under her wing! I had regular updates on them as I was worried because they're young, if they'd be OK. Also they had plenty of 'run' time out of their room. Will definitely use them again next time we go away!

We have tried a few catteries in the are and find Oak Ride to be the best. Always a stressful time taking cats to a cattery but our two are far less stressed now we have found a good one. The ease of dealing with the bookings and all other admin makes it even more of a great find.
